  • How do spiritual leaders motivate positive change in our individualistic society?
  • How to incorporate year-round teaching & practice on generosity?

Agile’s Stewardship Principles

OCTOBER 3RD

  • Unpack generational differences in generosity.
  • Adapt to the shift from giving to spending.
  • Separate the budgeting process from stewardship.
  • Move from annual pledges to automatic recurring giving.

  • Create a culture of fundraising as a sacred expression of faith.

Creating an Effective Year-Round Stewardship Plan

NOVEMBER 21ST

  • Use the church calendar and lectionary for year-round stewardship planning.
  • Create teams to shift from pledging to automatic recurring giving.

Rev. Piazza is a native of Georgia, prolific author, and has served churches in Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Connecticut, and, now, New York. He holds bachelor’s degrees in history and psychology from Valdosta State University; a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta; and a doctorate from Hartford Seminary, where he is a faculty associate and currently teaches Congregational Renewal. He also is the Founder and President of Agile Church Consulting.
